So enthusiasts for lovely music seldom heard can be thankful that it is to open the first of this seasons radio concerts by the Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Orchestra at 10 a. m. tomorrow. : .~ We also may give thanks to Mr. Schaefer, who has promised the work on one of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra programs. Beethoven's Second and Fourth Symphonies are neglected perennially and rather unaccountably. Though less majestically impressive than the Third, Fifth and Seventh, for instance, they are far from inferior works. The adagio movement of the Fourth is heard now and then (Howard Barlow broadcast it this summer), but the gay and lively music of the other three movements is far from common.
