CRIPPLED CHILDREN'S | SCHOOL IS TO OPEN —

The new James E. Roberts School | for Crippled Children, 10th and Ori-ental-sts, is expected to open its doors Monday to the 220 pupils of the Roberts School now located in School 5, 612 W. Washington-st, A. B. Goed, school business director, said today. The new butiding was erected at a cost of $238,000 and was made possible through a FWA grant and loan. Its maintenance is providea by the Indianapolis Foundation from funds of the Roberts family estate.

STATE MAY REST IN JACK PERKINS TRIAL

Oct. 7.—The state was expected to rest its case today in the trial of Jack Perkins, alleged Dillinger gangster. on firstdegree murder charges in St. Joseph Circuit Court. A parade of witnesses identifying Perkins as one of the gang which robbed the Merchants National Bank of $29.000 in June, 1934, and killed Patrolman Howard Wagner in the getaway, has been offered by the State,
