Graduates of ’36 to Be Guests at General Meeting Oct. 13.
Indianapolis Branch, American Association of University Women, is offering its year’s program for members as a “banquet of ideas and information.” In the introductory pamphlet the various adgfivities are explained and listed as dinner _ courses, College graduates of 1936 are to be special guests at a general meeting Oct. 13 at the Woman's Department Club. Mrs. Calvin K. Hamilton, president, is to welcome guests and members; Mrs. N. Taylor Todd is to jalk on “A. A. U, W. as a National Organization,” and Mrs. Ian Joyce js to introduce study group leaders. Offered as an “entree” is the annual book and toy exhibit, Nov. 9 to 16 in Ayres’ auditorium, with Mrs. John Waldo, chairman. Also an “entree” is the New York Theater Guild play, “End of Summer,” with Ina Claire and Osgood Perkins, to be sponsored at English’s Nov. 30. Mrs. Walter P. Morton is the chairman. Invites Book, Toy Group Mrs. Waldo has invited the book and toy exhibit committee to her home Monday for a dessert luncheon and discussion. The parent education group, placed in the “meat” course, is to discuss “Why Study Parent Education?” at 3 p. m. Friday, Oct. 16, at Mrs. E. C. Kleiderer’'s home. Mrs. S. W. Benham is chairman. Mrs. Claude Potts, former Purdue University nutrition specialist, is to talk on “Read Your Labels” at a consumers research group meeting Oct. 19 at Mrs. Lowell Fisher's home. Ray Thompson were ushers. A breakfast at Hollyhock Hill followed the ceremony. Flowers and tapers in coral, blue and dahlia shades appointed the table. The couple left on a wedding trip South. Wears Ivory Gown The bride wore ivory satin fashjoned on princess lines with a train and full sleeves to the elbow and tight at the wrist. Her tulle veil came from a braided tulle coronet and she carried a prayer book, an heirloom in the Walsh family. The bridesmaids wore empire style gowns with matching slippers and halos. Mrs. Joseph Coakley, Chicago, wore coral faille with Joanna Hill roses and delphinium; Miss Eleanor Egan, heather blue faille with Aaron Ward roses; Miss Louise Walpole, Baumba faille with mixed flowers. Barbara Ann Sundling, flower girl, wore bonbon pink taffeta with a poke bonnet and a muff of Cecil Bluner roses. Charles Whitsett was Mrs. Walsh wore coronation blue velvet with a shoulder corsage of lilies of the valley and tea roses and Mrs. Whitsett wore dubonnet with matching accessories and a gardenia corsage.

McGinty-Huse Reception Held | After Wedding
Following the marriage of Miss Marie Huse, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. Huse, and Bernard W. McGinty, son of Mr. and Mrs, | John A. McGinty, this morning até SS. Peter and Paul Cathedral, a weds ding breakfast was served at Holly Fock Hill, and a reception was held at the Huse home, 2938 Princes ton-pl. { The couple left on a wedding trip, the bride traveling in a green wool suit with black accessories. The couple is to be at nome in Indiane apolis after Oct. 15. | Out-of-town guests here for the ceremony included Mr. and Mrs, Daniel Hefferman and Miss Frances Southern, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs, Thomas McGinty, New York City; Mrs. E. B. Tinder, Newcastle; Mr, and Mrs. Paul D. Scott, Franklin; Mr. and Mrs. C. D. Rollings and Mr, and Mrs. Gordon Kellner, Louisville, Kya and George Schulhoff, Cincine nati. Monsignor: Francis Noll read the ceremony. The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a Queen Elizabeth styled gown of ivory vel vet with a tul d Venetian lace veil. - She carried an arm bouquet .of white rosesand lilies of ‘the valley with a gardenia center corsage. Mrs. John T. McCoy, matron of honor, wore Normandy red velvet * with matching turban and carried Premier roses and lavender pompoms. Miss Mary Evelyn Ellis - wore burnt crange velvet; Miss Mary Agnes Finneran and Mrs. George Schulhoff wore chartreuse velvet, The three bridesmaids wore turbans matching their dresses and carried Talisman roses and yellow pompoms. | John T. OPEN HOUSE EVENT TO HONOR SHIMERS
Mrs. Harold Hildebrand and Mrs, Martin Whittaker are to hold an informal open house starting at 4 p. m. tomorrow in honor of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard O.
