time, far-famed feuds of Kentucky with. political family divided against political family. The victim, as far as the nation is concerned, may be the elder, venerable statesman Senator George W. Norris, seeking re-election as an independent, whose name is written already in history for all to read in the giant TVA project and innumerable smaller power, irrigation and flood control projects; in the constitutional amendment abolishing the lame duck sessions of Congress, in outlawing of the so-called “yellow dog” labor contract; and, in his own state, the unicameral, or one-body, Legislature, among other | achievements. This lion among national legislators finds himself, at 74 and full of honors, annoyed and threatened by a snapping political cub in the per-

Roosevelt for Norris
These interests would like nothing better than to remove from public office the Senator who has embarrassed them so often. “Terry” is outlawed by the national Democratic Administration and by the state Democratic organization. President Roosevelt wants Senator Norris re-elected and has said so publicly. Out of this situation Terry is trying to make himself a martyr among his fol- | lowing, a heterogeneous mixture of brash youngsters and discouraged old folks, the back-wash of the depression here as elsewhere. They helped to send him to Congress for a two-year tour in 1932, where: he was a thorn in the flesh of James A. National leaders sought to induce “Terry” to withdraw. He still could get out before next Monday. But he says he w@n't—and you know he means it.

Times Special NASHVILLE, Ind.,, Oct. 2.—The Brown County Museum in this picturesque southern Indiana community now houses a collection of curios as ancient as the county's
own natural beauty. Developed by constant acquisition, this collection—from the ancient tomb of King Tut of Egypt— recently was enlarged by the addition of a small idol and a number of colored beads. The idol, as is the rest of the collection, is the property of Dr. Byron W. Marshall, Gary, who acquired the “collecting fever” from
