Maccabees, P. R. Mallory, Adams Machinery and Ballard Ice Cream took two each from East End Dairies, Beveridge Paper, L. Strauss & Co., and Electric Steel Castings in other team contests. Elmer Fox again topped the individuals of the Optical League at the Illinois Alleys, bettering his 594 of last week by two pins to turn the trick last night. Fox Optical and Shur-on copped three games each from Universal Bifocal and Continentals, as Dr. J. E. Kernels nabbed a two-to-one edge over Optometrists. American Optical was unopposed. State College Teams Start | Grid Season

Five Conference Tilts, Four Out-of-State Games on Slate.

Competition for the 1936 Indiana College Conference football championship will open this week-end with a schedule of five games. Hoosier teams will meet out-state rivals in four other contests. Butler, champion of the Conference for two seasons, will open its 1936 title defense against Evansville here tomorrow. The bulldogs defeated the down-staters, 12 to 0, last season. Cheered by one of its most promising teams in several years Rose Poly will invade Richmond tomorrow determined to score its first victory in a long series with Earlham. The Quakers defeated Rose, 15 to 0, last year. St. Joseph's will play at Valparaiso, and Oakland City will invade Franklin in other conference games tomorrow. - Manchester and Central Normal are to meet in a league contest at North Manchester. Wabash will meet Illinois College at Jacksonville, Ill, and Indiana State will entertain Illinois Normal of Bloomington at Terre Haute in inter-state contests tomorrow. Kenneth Somers of Indianapolis out of the Franklin College lineup for the opening game of the season with Oakland City here tomorrow, Coach Roy Tillotson will start a back field of four players who never have started a varsity game. Somers, quarter back, passer and ace ball carrier has an injured ankle. Steve Igrisan, regular guard last year has returned to school to bolster the line. Freshmen and sophomores will start at many of the positions for the Baptists.
