WEED CUTTERS T0 END WORK
1200 Lots Trimmed During Season, City Official _ Reports.
With the weed cutting season almost at an end. Fred K. Eisenhut, city street commissioner, announced today that more than 1200 lots have been trimmed during the last two months. Assessments {or cutting the weeds have averaged about 84 each, Mr. Eisenhut said, bringing a revenue of approximately $5000 to the city. This is payable with next year's taxes. ; . The street commissioner's budget included a $2400 item for weed cutting this year. No cutting was done last vear and hav fever vietims said the difference was noticeable. Sept. 18. — Severino Cornella, this town's only astronomer, has constructed a 58inch focal length telescope from automobile parts through which ridges and craters in the moon are plainly visible.
