agricultural agent, E. Glenn White, Marion County farmer, has built and filled with 30 tons of corn fodder an underground silo. Pictures above show it. Below, Harry Wiese, father-in-law of Mr. White and owner of the farm, which is located one mile north of Warren Central School, and one-fourth mile off 10th-st on Flowing Well-rd, is shown pointing to the base of the sile. Above, he is pointing to the top, thinly covered with dirt over a heavy straw roof. Corn, about five acres that would not mature, was cut up and put into the silo to be used for feed this winter. Hay crops were affected seriously by the drought and there is a feed shortage in the state. Mr. White has six head of cattle and the ensilage is expected to be sufficient feed for six months. Many other Marion County farmers have asked for specifications on the silos and may build them, Mr. Abbott said.
