BLOOMINGTON, Ind. Sept. 11.)
— Charges that the nation is going bankrupt under the Roosevelt administration “are a libel upon American people and a slander against the nation,” Senator Sherman Minton said at a Democratic meeting here last night. The Senator said that although the net debt per person hds been! increased about $60 by this administration, the national’ income has increased $180 a person. He compared the present national debt of $31,000,000,000 with the $45.000,000,000 spent by the United States in the World War, and said that of the present debt $16,000, 000.000 is carried over from the ar Pointing to the fact that England's national debt is three fimes that of this country, Senator Mintan said “If England can stand such a national debt and prosper .it silly to talk about the bankruptcy of this. a much richer country. »

Pepto-Bismol quickly brings your stomach back to normal, restores your pep and feeling of well-being. And it’s almost as pleasant tasting as the goodies that caused the trouble!
When your stomach is out of order, your intestines are out-of order, too. Don’t make the mistake of adding to the disturbed condition with over-doses of irritating bicarb and physics. Take Peptp-Bismol and soothe the irritated intestines, all the way. Its pepsin aids digestion. Its bismuth soothes the intestinal walls, Pepto-Bismol retards intestinal fermentation, gas formation and diarrhea. It gives prompt help to the stomach distressed by over-indulgence, nervous
"indigestion, excitement, change of diet,
or improperly prepared and digested food.
