Junior League Trading Post to Reopen Tomorrow.
BY BEATRICE BURGAN Society Editor
HAT outmoded lamp in your - attic may be a white elephant to you, but it would be. treasure to tthe Junior League Trading Post. ‘Those odd cups and saucers, chipped glasses and battered pans in the cupboard may be cluttering up space, but to the post they would be as welcome as the cool. breezes which refreshed us this week-end. All these articles and many others, which you might toss into the ash heap are salable at the post, which is to resume its business at 1507 N. Illinois-st, tomorrow. Not only. do they: brighten up less fortunate homes, but proceeds from their sale aids the crippled and sick patients ‘at James Whitcomb Riley Hospital for children. The post comniittee members spent last week calling other members and. friends for donations in preparation for the reopening.
Workers Are Named
Mrs. Arthur C. Shea is chairman of this branch of the league acs tivities, promoted to finance its oce cupational therapy shop at Riley, Mrs. John Hollett Jr. is to assist her as secretary, and Mrs. John Cooper is to have the job of seeing. that the quarters are kept in order, Mrs. Louis Huesmann has charge of the personnel and assigns meme bers to their days of work. Mrs. Marcus Warrender is to supervise marking of the merchandise and Mrs. Thomas Madden is to be on ‘the lookout for donations. Mrs, Keyes Atkins is publicity chairman. When new provisional members are chosen late this fall, they are to be schooled in a training course and later will decide whether they wish to work in the therapy shop, the arts and interests department or the Trading Post. Miss Eunice Dissette, president, will be back from Charlevoix, Mich., when the first general meeting is held. Ed =
Another prominent couple is to leave Fort Benjamin Harrison. Lieut. and Mrs. Francis Hall have received orders of their transfer to Fort Sill, Okla. where Lieut. and Mrs. James E. Godwin went to live shortly after their marriage this ‘month at the fort. - { Mrs. Hall's mother, Mrs. Oliver P. Robinson, New York, who with i her husband, Col. Robinson, formerly lived at the fort, is to accompany: her daughter to her new | home. | ‘Maj. and Mrs. J. K. Boles and | their daughter, Miss ‘Betty Boles, | left the local fort about two years | ago to dd to Fort Silk
