A repeat pro- : 2 gram, not broadcast, is scheduled : to go on at 8:45. An added feature for the visible audience is a group of old-time square dances on the stage, with a *“caller” and traditional music. This supplements the regular large cast, including the Mountain Rangers, Red Dickerson’s Washboard Stringers, Happy Long, the Blue Ridge Mountain Girls, Jode and Jack, harmonica players; the Melody Makers male quartet, Uncle Hiram, Elmer and the Lonesome Cowboy. Cast members say that the Fountain Square broadcasts drew about 700 spectators for each performance, in spite of the fact that the time conflicted with practically everyone’s dinner hour. »” ” ”

Good Music BY JAMES THRASHER
Since our brief outdoor concer® series Jong since has gone, why not try a little air-conditioned. listening in your own home? As a starter, turn on the radio and the electric fan this evening, park a cooling draught of something conveniently near, and settle down for the hour and a half of symphonic music scheduled by WFBM. At 6 p. m. Basil Cameron is to conduct his own orchestra, the Seattde Symphony, in place of the Portland organization, which has been on this Thursday evening spot for several weeks. The popular “Sakuntala” Overture by Goldmark will open the program, to be followed by Liszt's “Les Preludes,” Debussy’s “Afternoon of a Faun” and two movements from the Fourth Bymphony of Tschaikowsky. _Izler Solomon will lead the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. in a 30minute program from Grant Park at 8 p. m. ' Favorite for Summer
For some reason or other, the brooding melancholy of Tschaikowsky's music always: has been favorite fare with summer audiences. During the decade or more that the Lewisohn Stadium series ended with & request program, Tschaikowsky compositions were out in front in each season's voting.
