Mr. Edgerton issued the following statement: “1 was called into Criminal Court by Judge Baker, who demanded that I take some additionalioath regarding my duties as jury commissioner. 1 declined to take any oath in Criminal Court, but announced that I would take any legitimate oath required by law in the court of my .appcintment, which is the Circuit Court, and have advised Judge Cox of the Circuit Court of my willingness in that direction. “When : ‘Judge Cox requests me to take an additional oath I shall be only too glad to do so. I know nothing about the legal matters which have to do with construction of the jury commissioners’ act, but I feel that I am accountable to. the judge of the Circuit Court and no ~ other court.”
