NEW DEAL F WILL ESTABLISH OFFICE IN CITY

Jeffersonian. | Democrats Map Landon: Drive in Indiana.

Ernest E. Cummings, Indiana national committeeman of the National Jeffersonian Democrats, is in Indianapolis today to establish a state headquarters for the Jeffersonians. Mr. Cummings, of Sullivan, with Ira C. Tilton, Valparaiso, the other Indiana committeeman, are to direct the Indiana activities of the Jeffer- - sonians, who advocate the election of Alfred M. Landon and Col. Frank Knox. Mr. Tilton is to have charge of the northern district with offices at Valparaiso and Mr. Cummings is. to head the southern district with offices at Sullivan. The national convention, which ended Saturday at Detroit, went on record as opposing “New Dealism” + in all its forms and read President . "Roosevelt and all other “New Deal- ' ers” out of the Democratic Party. National headquarters of the organization are at St. Louis and are in charge of ex-Senator James : A, Reed. ~The Indiana organization is to use ‘the press, radio and mass meetings ‘to call ‘all “loyal Hoosier Democrats to the support of the movement in order ilo defeat New Dealism,” Mr. Cummings said.
