| Marott Building Remodeling

Is Being Completed; Furniture on Way.

Remodeling of the Marott building at 342 assachusetts-av, which is to be used as regional headquarters of the Resettlement Administration, was being complete today. Offices are to be opened Saturday, and the first load of equipment is due here tonight from Champaign, Ill, where headquarters formerly were located. This first consignment will be carried in more than 50 trucks and consists of approximately 350,000 pounds of desks, furniture and other office equipment, said Carl Hoffman, Washington, assistant superintendent of buildings for RA. Mr. Hoffman has been in Indianapolis for several days, taking charge of remodeling the Marott

building. The building, leased rent free by Mr. Marott to the RA, has five floors and a basement, and provides 60,000 ‘square feet of floor e. } Fifty private offices have been installed, Mr. Hoffman said. He expects all the equipment to be moved in by the end of the week, and that the complete personnel of 350 persons who are to come here from Champaign will be on hand by Monday morning.
