nelia Otis Skinner to Give Radio Drama Tomorrow: Night.
If all listeners enjoy their Sunmorning snooze as much as iis dial-twister, there would be © point in announcing that the King of England and the President of Prance are to be on the at 7:13 a. m, tomorrow. But ‘We pass the word along, for many ‘early risers will want to hear what pronii§és to be an interesting broadcast—the dedication of the Canadian National War Memorial at Vimy Ridge. WGN is to move its Sunday schedule up 47 minutes to carry the Mutual rebroadcast of the ceremony, and the NBC-Blue network will come on at 7:30 o'clock. Canadian Radio Commission facilities are to supply Mutual with the program, while NBC will rebroad1a a British Broadcasting Co. airg. % “Tomorrow is the twentieth anniversary of the Canadian victory at Vimy Ridge, one of history’s 1 t battles. King Edward VIII 1s to unveil the monument and make the principle dedicatory speech. President LeBrun and Canada's Premier MacKenzie King also are to be heard, and the audience is expected to include 6000 Canadian veterans and a host of distinguished celebrities. : 2 = » A oooling and cheering contribu- ~ tion, on the heels of the recent heat wave and her tragic “Liebestraum” of last week, will be Cornelia Otis Skinner's radio play, “Christmas Morning,” tomorrow night. It's the story of an average family, Pa, Ma and the two kids, gathered about the tree on any Dec. 25. Eliott Jacoby’s arrangement of familiar Yuletide music will enhance the unseasonable broadcast, which is to be 7 p. m. over WLW. : 2 ” ” If Kathleen Norris can live up to her reputation as a conversationalist and wit, established for her by Alexander Woollcott in “While Rome Burns,” her dramatic debut on the Magic Key program tomorrow should be a hit. The famous novelist is to do a role in a scene from her own play, “The Life of Queen Victoria,” in a Lous Angeles microphone appearance. And Bill Robinson is to be on the same program, blending his astounding pedal percussions with the music of Lennie Hayton and his orchestra. Also Carol Deis, goprano, the Revelers Quartet and ~ the NBC Symphony Orchestra .unger Frank Black—all on WLW at noon. ” EJ 8 Reginald Forsythe’s handsome bit of pretentious jazz, entitled - “Dodgin’ a Divorcee,” finally has a get of lyrics. They're not by a professional “lyricist” either, but are from the pen of Gordon Jenkins, one of Andre Kostelanetz’ arrangers. Gordon said the inspiration smote him right between the ninth . and tenth holes of a recent golf
game...

WFBM’s “America Dances” - program at 8 o'clock tomorrow night, to the accompaniment of Lud Gluskin’s music.
. » ” ” . We don’t know what frequent radio appearances of Hollywood stars will do to their traditional “glamour” if the parade keeps up—
broadcasts have a way of making:
performers seem so human! But studio executives seem to think it's all right, and so they keep on coming. Tonight we are to hear Ricardo Cortez and Patsy Kelley on Smith Ballew’s variety program at 7:30 o'clock over WLW. Others on the list are “Snowy” Baker, polo ~ player; Eddie Peabody, popular locally and everywhere else as America’s No. 1 banjoist, and Josephine Tumminia, sensational young operatic soprano.
