Last year at this time $477,671 was re- . ported stolen and $394,685 recovered by the police. « The value of lost property reported to the department this year totaled $8767, while the 1935 comparative report showed losses of $13,606. « Of 791 autos stolen here during 1936, 774 have been recovered, the report showed. . On 647 reported auto thefts from other jurisdictions, the city department has recovered +15. Last year 980 city cars were recovered, with 1011 thefts reported. . Analysis of arrest reports this year showed 103 for burglary; 27, ‘homocide; 50, vehicle taking, and 98 assault and battery with intent to kill. Arrests for burglary, vebicle taking and assault have all decreased during the last year, according to the report.
