Counter-Seasonal Gain Shown

Factory employment showed a © .counter-seasonal gain continuing the - expansion which has been « shown each month since January, it was stated. Fifty-six of the 90 manufacturing industries reported more workers in June than in the preceding month and 55 industries showed larger pay rolls. The major gains reported were in the durable-goods industry. It was disclosed that all of the three utility businesses reported increased employment and that a further substantial improvement had been noted in the private building construction industry, showing a 21.5 per cent employment rise over June, 1935. Last month's employment index of 86 was 7.9 per cent over the level of the previous Junie and marked the highest employment level since October, 1930, Mr. Lubin said. Lust, 50, FowJer attorney and Democratic candidate for judge of Benton Circuit Court. ~ Mr. Lust’s car collided with a Greyhound bus at Oxford. Joseph Fynn, Indianapolis, bus driver, escaped injury but five passengers were shaken and bruised.
