~ The works and purposes of the State-wide Planning Survey started last December were outlined at an Indiana Municipal League conference today by M. R. Keese, State Highway Department member. The conference began at 11 a. m. in the Indianapolis Athletic Club. Today's meeting was the last of 11 League meetings.’ Mr. Keese said the survey was undertaken to obtain evaluation of
state and county highways so that
a long time highway program could be outlined. — Another six months will be refired to eomplete the survey which is expected to cost approximatelz

An inspection tour through municipal plants and WPA projects in the city was planned for this after-
noon. Mayor Willlam PF. Dentlinger, Connersville, is league president. Major Horace Greeley Brown, Noblesville, was host for the delegation from Hamilton, Marion and Tipton Counties while Mayor Harry Baldwin, Anderson, was host to officials from Madison, Delaware and Randolph Counties. S. M. Weaver, Chicago, was to take part in the round table discussion of municipal problems as representative of the American Municipal League.

Young Democrats to Hear Barkley or Farley at August Parley.
Times Special GARY, July 22—A Roosevelt spokesman, either Senator Albin W. Barkley or James A. Farley, is to answer here the Topeka acceptance speech of Gov. Alf M. Landon, Republican presidential nominee, it was announced today. ‘The New Dea] spokesman is to address a conclave of Young Indiana Democrats and Junior Democrats- from five adjoining states, Aug. 7 and 8, just two weeks afier Gov.
