Instructions on work for various camp credits were given by older members. The program included games, a flag ceremony and presentation of honorary _ awards to older. Scouts. The meet+ ing closed with a- night swim. Eighteen scouts completed requirements for the rank of camper and received jersey awards at the camp-fire program last night. REPORT RECORD AUTO SHIPMENTS IN JUNE
Month Best in History According to Manufacturers Association. By United Press DETROIT, July 9.—June motor vehicle shipments by members of the Automobile. Manufacturers Association exceeded shipments for anv June in the history of the organiza-
tion, a report by the association re- |
vealed today.
The association,” which includes all major manufacturers except Henry Ford, placed = June factory sales at 367,303 units, an increase of 34 per cent over the corresponding month last year. The sales for the past month were only two per
cent under May sales. June, 1935, :
sales ‘were 274,093 units. The report estimated that during the six months period of 1936, just ended, a ‘total of 1,963,422 cars were shipped to retail outlets. This was an increase of 28 per cent over the corresponding period of 1935, when 1,535,761 units were shipped.
