Folks liked Henrys show becau his dogs weren't show dogs but just common everydoy canines which were much harder to train. Ma a lad went home from a Gentry exhibition to try to get his own Trixje to jump through a hoop or count with her paws. Mr. Gentry’s shows were So popular by 1916 that he had four on the road at the same time. Decis ing his own show days were abo over, that the time haé& come to tal life easy, Mr. Gentry sold his fo shows for well over a million dollars. But show blood was in his veins, and in answer to hundreds of r quests Mr. Gentry “came back” wi his dog and pony choruses in 1931. He bought up all his old equipme he could find, toured the count until 1934, then again sold out other showmen.

Show Is Back Again

Even this last retirement didn't take, because Mr. Gentry is back again. The 71-year-old trickster left no stone unturned in an effort to rebuild his current offering along lines that made his former exhibits popular. All the old stars are to be here, according to Mr. Gentry, including “Mr. and Mrs. Snyder;” the coa and four, drawn by the coach dogs; the fire department, manned chattering monkeys, and the le ing greyhounds. As movie attractions to acco pany the stage show at the Rivpli Saturday, Mr. Cantor is to’ present “The Princess Comes Across,” with Carole Lombard and Fred MsacMurray, and “Border Flight,” with John Howard and Frances Fa Farmer.

Times Special HOLLYWOOD, July 8.-— For the first time on or off the screen, Gene Raymond. wears a mustache in his current movie, “Count Pete.” The advent of the upper lip adornment caused much controversy on "the set where the blond star is working. Ambassadr Wiows ‘Fatal Lady’ Starring Singer Mary Ellis

Actress Has Three Songs in

Complicated Mystery Movie

Which Is on Bill With ‘Human Cargo.’

Mary Ellis, possessor of one of the screen’s loveliest operatic voices, is to be heard today at the Ambassador in a film called “Fatal Lady.” Miss Ellis, whom we haven't seen and heard in movies since “All

the Kings Horses,”

performs excellently in the new picture.

The plot of “Fatal Lady” is involved. Shocked when she is accused

of complicity in the strange death admirer Marion Stuart (Miss klis) loses her voice at her operatic debut. Cleared of the alleged crime, she takes refuge singing with a traveling opera troupe in South America.

With her name changed to Mario Delasano, and cheered on by Melba York and her husband, the sad young singer gets a little comfort from praise lavished on her by the troupe maestro, Feodor Glinka. In Brazil, Philip Roberts, younger brother of David Roberts, wealthy coffee merchant, becomes infatuated, follows her from city to city. Another victim of her charms is Uberto Malla, wealthy Brazilian, who in turn introduces his friend, Martan Fontes, who lavishes orchids on the pretty singer. ! David Roberts, thinking Philip is being hoodwinked into -marrying Mario, comes to rescue his brother. Malla =ntertains the troupe, and when he and Mario burlesque au operr, some one stabs Malla to death from behind a curtain. Police spurred on by accusations of David Robeérts, accuse Mario. Fontes gets her acquittal, ‘ruined, and she flees to Paris where she sings in a night club under the name of Malevo.

Philip finds her there, presses his suit. Then Philip is found dead in David's car, killed while David s talking to Mario. To find the murderer, David makes Mario promise to pose as ‘this fiancee. Since other men who loved her died, he thinks the pretense might disclose the murderer. Before long they really are in love.

Mario is asked to sing at a benefit performance at the Paris opera house. At the final rehearsal, the assassin, whose name we won't reveal, takes a shot at David, misses, climbs into the rigging above the stage, loses his footing, crashes to

‘the floor b-low.

Miss Ellis’ fine voice is heard in two operatic numbers, “Isabelle” and “Bal Masque,” and ‘in a frilly French - ‘composition, “Je Vous
