Indiana's new $9,820,125 WPA allotment, awarded yesterday by Works Progress Deputy, Administrator Aubrey Williams, is a routine grant that will last the state

about eight weeks, according to Wayne Coy, WPA director for Indiana. “No hew projects are to be started with the money,” Mr. Coy said, “and the same number of WPA workers, about 69,000, are to remain on the same projects.” Py Indiana’s WPA budget for the pey riod from June 22-July 31 is $6,200,000, Mr. Coy said.

The Indiana WPA spends about $1,250,000 a week, he explained. Yesterday’s allotment ‘is Indiana’s first share of the = $1,425,000,000 work-relief fund for the 1936-37 fiscal year, which started last night al midnight.
