FOR PREACHING MISSIONS HERE

Religious Leaders, Laymen of City to Participate in Sessions.

Mass meetings, seminars for preachers and laymen, luncheons for men and women and youth sessions are to be included in the fourday Preaching Mission to be conducted in the city Sept. 27 to 30, it was announced today.

~ The meeting under the sponsorship of the Indianapolis Church Federation is one of 25 to be held throughout the United States and Canada by the national religious organization. Forty outstanding Preachers and laymen are to be Speakers. : Dr. Jesse M. Bader, New York, Federal Council of Churches secreJay of evangelism, outlined a tentive program to members of the local committee yesterday at the Y. M. C. A. Indianapolis and six cities and towns in the state were represented.

Headquarters Are Selected : The, First Baptist Church is to serve as central headquarters for

the movement with the Second Presbyterian Church, women’s headquarters; Roberts Park M. E. Church, the youth center, and English's, the noon-day meeting place. + A mass meeting in Cadle Taberhacle Sunday afternoon is to open activities, followed by sectional meetings throughout the city. From 10 to 12 Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings ministers of Indianapolis and the state are to meet. At the same time the women are to convene, . Noon luncheons, afternoon seminars of two hours’ duration, meetings in a downtown theater or church, youth afternoon meetings, night seminars for laymen and an evening mass meeting each night are tentative activities.

* “Decision service is to be held at the end of the night mass meet ings,” eplained Dr. Bader. “This movement is going te bring to America a new evangelism.” “We have tried to make this program broader than the groups represented in the federated council.
