Catholic Parish Established in 1910; Services Are Arranged.

The the founding of the Indianapolis Holy Trinity Parish is to be celebrated Sunday, June 14, the Rev. Joseph V. Somes, parish administrator, announced today.. At the same time the Rev. Ralph Urajner, O. M. C. a former student at the parish, will conduct his first solemn high mass. He is to be ordained as

A banquet at 6 p. m. in the school auditorium is to end the festivities, Holy Trinity “parish was organized in 1906 by the late Bishop Francis Chartrand. In 1911, a twostory brick building adjoining the church was constructed to serve as pastoral residence and school. The Sisters of Providence served the first school as a mission. Later, the Franciscan Sisters from the Oldenburg Motherhouse, took over the school and have maintained it since. Appropriated in 1933

In 1910 Bishop Chartrand asked the Order of Minors Conventual to supply the pastorate at Holy Trinity. This missionary work was continued until 1933, when Bishop Chartrand took the parish under his personal direction and appointed Father Somes -as administrator. Since 1933 Father Somes has been assisted by the Rev. August B. Fichter, 1933-34: the Rev. Michael Djubaes, 1934-35, and: the Rev. Thomas Scecina, since 1935.
