CITY HOSPITAL TO GRADUATE 23 AS NURSES
Baccalaureate Sermon to Be Heard Tomorrow in Christ Church.
Commencement exercsies for City Hospital School of Nursing open tomorrow afternoon with baccalaureate services at 4 in Christ Church.
The Rev. E. Ainger Powell is to deliver the sermon. Class day exercises are to be held Monday on the campus of the Nurses’ Home. The City Hospital Alumnae Association is to hold a dinner Tuesday night at the Riviera Club for the senior class, and the junior class is to hold a dinner-dance for the graduates Wednesday night at the Marott.
Dinner to Honor Seniors
City Hospital graduate nurses are to have a dinner in honor of the seniors Thursday night at Cifaldi’s Villa Nova.
Twenty-three students are to receive diplomas at 8 Friday night in the City Hospital auditorium. Walter Myers, former speaker of the Indiana House of Representatives, is to give the principal address. The graduates are Miss Mary Jean Aufderhiede, Indianapolis; Harriett E. Bell, Moorland; Addie Mae Brown, Trafalgar; Violet Ruth Campbell, Brazil; Carmine Pauline Cree, Galveston; Mary Kathryn Cornutt, Atlanta; Edna Mae Davis, Franklin; Katherine E. Deardorf, Terre Haute; Mildred Louise Eavey, Frankfort; Arline Marie Fair, North Liberty.

SENATE PRESSES FOR RELIEF BILL PASSAGE
Legislators Renounce Holiday to Hold Saturday Session. By United Press ‘WASHINGTON, May 30.—Renouncing a holiday, the Senate met in one of its rare Saturday sessions
. today to drive the $1,425,000,000 re-
lief bill to a final vote. The number of vital questions remaining to be settled indicated, however, that passage might be delayed until Monday. The fight over the Passamaquoddy (Me.) tide-harnessing and Florida ship canal projects was the highest hurdle facing the Senate in adopting the bill which will permit the Federal government to carry on relief work for the next fiscal year.

Defunct Bank to Make 1 Per Cent Distribution. By United Pyess BLUFFTON, Ind, May 30—A 1 per cent distribution will be made to all depositors of the defunct Studebaker Bank with the exception of those indebted to the trust through stockholder’s liability, J.
