Times Special oa , Ind, May 28—Ten Indianapolis students are among 59 seniors who will be awarded degrees at Franklin College commencement ~ @xercises Monday, June 8. Owen Dr. Heel A. Pittenger, Ball State Teachers’ College president, is to give the commencement address, while the baccalaureate sermon Sunday morning is to be delivered by President W. G. Spencer. Sunday actvities are to be the president's reception, a choir concert and .& dramatic presentation.
Memorial Service Set
A memorial service for the one . hundredth birthday anniversary of the late Dr. W. T. Stott, one of Franklin's most popular presidents, is to be the feature of an alumni meeting Monday. Elba Branigan, local attorney and college board member, is to speak. At an alumni luncheon preceding the service Paul C. Stetson, Indianapolis schools superintendent, is to be the speaker, with Dr. H. F. Thurston, also of Indianapolis, presiding, Other Indiana members of the granduating class include: James Barlow, Plainfield; Roland Beldon, Seymour; Misses Bernice McKenny and Mary Jane Schroeder, Shelbyville; Richard Cox, Bargersville;, Eugene Hupp and Miss Pauline Loesch, Columbus.

Forty-second Graduation Exercises Are Held at Lincoln.
Twenty-eight Indiana Law School seniors received diplomas last night at the school’s forty-setond graduation exercises at the Lincoln. Honor students were Watson C. Ogden, school trustee, conferred degrees. Included in the program was organ music by Dessa Byrd and prayer by Dr. Matthias L. Haines, board of trustees president.
Sedativve Fatal to Invalid; Mother in Critical Condition.
The coroner's office today investigated the death of Miss Ruth Morasky, 32, an invalid, who died at Methodist Hospital last night from the effects of an overdose of seda- - tive tablets. Police said she and her mother, Mrs. Anne Morasky, 54, took the tablets in their home, 326 N. Ches-ter-av, Sunday. The mother is reported in a critical condition today at the hospital. :

Times Special : SOUTH BEND, Ind. May 28. —South Bend is observing Safety Week. Zime Hinton, 30, is convinced of that. Convicted of driving while drunk, Hinton was fined $125 and sentenced to serve 90 days. In an appedl hearing, Superor "Judge J. Elmer Peak listened only a moment before agreeing that the penalty didn’t fit the offense. He changed it to $175 and 180 days.

Meetings to Be Held in Broadway Baptist Church Gymnasium.
The Third Ward Republican Club has been incorporated with the regular members of the party organization as directors. Henry A. Roberts, president, announced today that meetings are to be held in Broadway Baptist Church gymnasium, 22d-st and Broadway. Other club officers are Walter Bruce, first vice president; Frank Collman, second vice president; Charles Barrett, third vice president; Mrs. Josephine Keith, treasurer, ‘and Miss Lorene Harvey, secretary. Charles Minton is chairman of thé board of managers and William Roessner chairman of the reception committee.
GREAT LAKES BUS DUE HERE TOMORROW
Exposition Displays Are to Be Shown in City.
The Great Lakes Exposition official bus, equipped with special exhibits and displays, is to arrive here tomorrow night. A representative of the exposition is to present a

attend the affair during its 100 days on Cleveland's lake front, June 27 to Oct. 4. The bus is to be parked in front of the Indiana Theater Friday night and is to be at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway during the race Saturday.

CHAMBER HONORS LABORATORY HEAD
Junior C. of C. Award Given Dr. C. G. Culbertson.
Dr. Clyde G. Culbertson, laboratory director of Indiana University Medical School and the State Health Board, today possessed the Junior Chamber of Commerce distinguished service award for 1936.
Presentation was made last night by Mayor Kern at a dinner meeting at the Lincoln. The award is to be made annually to men under 35 for outstanding contributions to civic betterment.
The award was given Dr. Culbertson for his direction of medical tests for physicians and state and Federal institutions. Dr. Verne K. Harvey, director of = the Indiana public health division, lauded Dr. Culbertson as an executive, teacher and scientist, saying he had increased efficiency in the two laboratories on reduced budgets. Dr. Culbertson is 29 and a native of Vevay. from Indiana University Medical
‘School in 1931 and became head of
the laboratory the same year. He récelved the appointment to the state post in 1933.
