MOST CITIZENS HELD IGNORANT ON GOVERNMENT Average Man Knows Little of Administration, I. U. Group Told. Rprrlnt BLOOMINGTON, Ind., May 14 The average citizen’s Ignorance of public administration is appalling, seniors of Indiana University's school of business administration wore told last night. The assertion that a vast majority of Indiana’s citizens have no conception of th* state’s business w.is made bv Edward Brennan, state budget director. “The knowledge of how public revenue is obtained and the sources from which it is collected is blank to f>o per cent of the people, but their demands are all-embracing," the speaker declared. "If the public would measure its demands on the public treasury with the yard stick of revenue.” he stated, "the tax question would lie far less perplexing. The demands are made cheerfully, but the payments are made most reluctantly. ‘These Things Are Human* “All of these things are human," lie added, "and to err is human.
