PROHIBITIONISTS NAME NOMINEES FOR FALL RACE Party Selects Educator as Candidate for Indiana Governorship. The Prohibition Paity today launched a campaign lor election of state officers on a liberal platform of social reform. „ Dr. Gilbert Mason, Huntington College, was selected as the party's candidate for Governor at a state meeting yesterday in the Wheeler ' Rescue Mission. Other candidates and offices they are seeking are Herman L. Seegar, Indianapolis, lientenant governor; David Noland, Lizton, secretary of sta’te; Mrs Altie Stoddard, Indianapolis. auditor of state; G. A. Hottell, Georgetown, treasurer; Prof. Walter Brinson, Anderson, superintendent of public instruction, and A. D. Lewis, Supreme Court re-i porter. Platform Is Outlined Features of the 13-point platform includes abolition of the dole and made-work expenditures, stateowned bank, state housing authority to eliminate slum areas, formation of a state industries board for promoting employment of idle persons, abandonment of use of military forces as instruments of force to break strikes, consolidation of taxing units, a state insurance corporation, adequate old-age pensions and abolition of contract labor in state penal institutions. Chicago, national chairman, in his keynote address' said that the public was disgusted with the major political parties ano pointed to the failure of either j major party to make an uncmploy- j ment survey.
