Jeanne Winchel to Wed Dr. Stanton Bryan Today

After the reception following Miss Jeanne Winchel's marriage to Dr. Stanton L. Bryan, Evansville, this afternoon at Third Christian Church, the couple is to leave on a wedding trip. Mr. and Mrs. C. C. Winchel, parents of the bride, are to entertain at their home for the couple's friends.* Mrs. Gregg Ransburg. Mrs. Rollin Gehrdt, Mrs. Frank Welcher. Misses Jean Miller and Jane Little are to assist at. the reception. The serving table is to be arranged with a threetier wedding cake and is to be lighted with white tapers. Dr. S. Grundy Fisher is to officiate at the wedding ceremony before the altar arranged with palms, ferns and spring flowers. Miss Sara Elizabeth Miller, organist, and Miss Kathryn Bowiby. soloist, are to present the musical program.

Bride to Wear Ivory Satin The bride is to enter with her father. Her ivory satin gown is designed with a train, long sleeves and V-neckline. Her finger tip veil falls from af braided satin halo. She is to wear an antique locket and carry gardenias and lilies of the valley. Mrs. John C. Drewry. Atlanta, Ga., matron of honor, is to attend in a peach starched lace gown with ruffled tulle cape, matching her tulle off-the-face hat. Her bouquet is to be of Talisman roses. Miss Virginia McCready. the bride's cousin, is to wear a similar dress of powder blue and her flowers are to be butterfly roses. Mrs. Winchel is to attend in a black crepe gown with cellophane lace Jacket and violet corsage. Mrs Florence D. Bryan, Evansville, the bridegrooms mother, is to wear a black lace gown and gardenia corsage. Max Winchel. the bride's brother. Is to be best man, and Gilbert Morrison. Among out-of-town guests are to be the bridegroom’s sister, Miss Blanche Bryan, Washington; Mrs. ! C. A. Johnson. Odessa, Tex.: Dr. and Mrs. Earl Conover. Mr. and Mrs. Harold Birch and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Birch, all of Evansville. The bride's traveling suit is of Oxford brown, with yellow accessories. After July 1 the couple is to be at home in Evansville. Dr. Bryan is a graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and is a member of Phi Gamma Delta Fraternity.

Weaving to Be Subject Members of Caroline Scott Harrison Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, are to meet at 2 Thursday for an historical day session, when Mrs. Guy H. Shadinger is to talk on “Historical Weaving,” emphasizing weaving of colonial days. A large spinning w-heel belonging to the chapter is to form a background for the talk, which Mrs. Shadinger is to illustrate with use of a loom. Mrs. Bertram Day, regent. is to preside. Following the program, tea is to be served, with Mrs. David M. Parry and Mrs. Felix T. McWhirter pouring. Appointments are to carry out the Easter season idea. Mrs. George H. Batchelor is hostess chairman, and Mrs. Mary H. Maxwell, vice chairman. Assistants are to be Mesdames Edna Me. G. Christian. William Holton Dye, Robert N. Fulton. William Henry Harrison, Frank F. PENWOMEN HOLD BREAKFAST HERE Approximately 150 attended the Indiana League of American Penwomen’s breakfast at the Propylaeum today at which Mrs. Marion H. WOMEN TO HAVE LUNCHEON The spring luncheon of the Indiana University Women's Alumnae Club of Indianapolis is to be held at 12:30 Saturday, April 18, at the Washington, Mrs. Olive Beldon Lewis, president, announces. Mrs. Frank Hatfield, foundation day committee chairman, is to cooperate with the university Alumni Association in arranging for the event. Other alumnae officers with Mrs. Lewis are Miss Charlotte Carter, first vice president; Miss Arda Knox, second vice-president; Miss Miriam King, secretary; Miss Marian Jenckes, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Warren D. Campus Dance Butler University students studied their week-end lessons today through rose-col-ored glasses, remembering the success of the “Gym Housewarming,” first dance ever held on the college campus with the sanction of school authorities. The dance, held last night in the fleldhouse gymnasium, was sponsored by the Butler Collegian, campus newspaper, the Woman's League and the Men's Union. Proceeds are to be used for anew student lounge and smoking room in Jordan Hall. Frank Demmerly, Student Council president, led the grand march to music played by Henry Moffet, university student, and his campus orchestra. Co-chairmen were Fred Ryker and Martha Shepherd. Faculty members were special guests, and chaperons included Prof, and Mrs. Chester B. Camp. Don Sparks. Evan Walker and Prof, and Mrs. J. Douglas Perry.
