WATERWORKS EXPERTS PLAN STATE SESSION Supply Management, Public Fire Protection to Be Discussed. Timer Special LAFAYETTE, Ind., March 26. Water supply management aid public fire protection are to be featured at the twenty-ninth annual convention of the Indiana Section of the American Water Works Association, April *1 to 9, at Purdue University, Frank A. Barbour, Boston, national president of the A. W. W. A. and W. W. Brush, New York, editor or Water Works Engineering, are to be principal speakers at the annual dinner, April 8. A school for water plant superintendents w;ll open the first day’s program. Speakers are to include Prof. F. W. Greve, Purdue; P. C. Gale, Michigan City water department superintendent, and L. S. Finch, Indianapolis consulting engineer. Health Service Sends Speaker Frank R. Shaw, Chicago sanitary engineer connected with the United States Public Health Service, is scheduled to discuss conservation of national water resources in one of the principal addresses on the second day’s program. A school for fire chiefs will be conducted the concluding day, with addresses by Clarence Goldsmith, Chicago, assistant chief engineer of the National Board of Fire Underwriters; Richard E. Vernor, Chicago, firfe prevention manager of the Western Actuarial Bureau; A. J. Meyer, Indianapolis, of the Indiana Inspection Bureau, and Clem Smith, state fire marshal. C. K. Calvert, superintendent of the Indianapolis sewage disposal plant, is president of the Indiana Section and is to preside at all sessions.
