THE INDIANAPOLIS TIMES

ordered by the Department of Agriculture at Washington. L. E. Hoffman of the Purdue Extension Staff announced today. When the Agr,cuitural Adjustment Act was ruled unconstitutional Jan. 6, activities in Indiana were suspended. At that time most of the 65,000 corn-hog reduction contracts remained to be checked by county boards for last year’s compliance. Approximately 19.000 wheat contracts also had not been certified in Washington so that farmers could receive final payments on 1935 reductions, he said. The remaining contracts, carrying benefits of several million dollars to Indiana farmers, are to be certified immediately through county boards in anticipation of forthcoming aid from the government to cover existing agreements, according to Hoffman.
