Mrs. Cathcart attended Glendale Academy, and later Western College at Oxford, 0.. before entering Vassar as one of its first students. Because of her interest in research and study, Mrs. Cathcart became a close friend of Maria Mitchell, noted astronomer, and several years ago was given an honorary life membership in the Maria Mitchell Association of Boston. She was a member of the Indiana Vassar Club. Society of Indiana Pioneers, Over the Teacups Club. Woodstock Club and Second Presbyterian Church. She lived for several years in France.' Survivors are two daughters, Miss Charlotte Cathcart and Mrs. Clarence Martindale; grandson, Robert Cathcart Martindale of the Oriental
Institute in Egypt; sister, Mrs. David W. Coffin of Beverly Hills, Cal.: brother. Dr. John B. Morrison of Porterville. Cal., and five nieces and two nephaws.
