SCOUT PROGRAM TO BE OUTLINED j AT CONFERENCE Leaders Throughout Nation to Meet at French Lick March 11 to 18. Bv Tnitrii Press FRENCH LICK, Ind., Frb. 14 Plana for extension of the Scout movement among America's youth are to be discussed at the sixth na- ! tional tialning conference of Boy i Scouts of America here March 11 to 18. More than 900 national execu- j lives of the organization, represent- ! ing every section of the country, are expected to attend. Eleven major commissions -*•* to report on phases of Scout r .ctivn,y. Chief of these is to be the .sport of the progress made toward attainment of the 10-year program—the Boy Scouts’ plan which seeks by 1942 to equip at least one out of | every four American boys with four years of Scout training. Prize-winning Scout troops from 1 nearby Indiana towns are to ex- j hibit a model Scout camp and na- i tional and international exhibits of Scoutcraft are to be displayed dur- j ing the meeting. Delegates who are to attend include Daniel Carter Beard, national ! Scout commissioner; Walter W.! Head, St. Louis, president of the, national council; Col. Theodore! Roosevelt, vice president of the or- j ganization; Dr. John H. Finley, associate editor of the New York Times; Dr. James E. West, New York, chief Scout executive; Dr. G'orge J.
