SIX GROUPS ARE CHOSEN TO AID ANTI-T,B. WORK SI4OO Needed to Reach Seal Goal of $32,000, Shotwell Says. Personnel of six committees of the Marion County Tuberculosis Association were named today by Grier M. Shotwell, organization president. Mr. Shotwell also reported that approximately SI4OO more is needed if the organization's $32,000 Christmas Seal goal is reached. One hundred children are to be cared for at the Julia Jameson Nutrition Camp at Bridgeport next summer, and additional funds are needed to equip the new health preventorium being constructed at Bridgeport, Mr. Shotwell said. HALF OF DELINQUENT LIST TO BE CALLED Big Bidders Are Financial Houses, ‘Tax Buyers.’ Marion County’s delinquent tax sale is to continue today with about half the list to be announced, according to Fay Wright, chief deputy treasurer. The sale was the first in three years due to the tax moratorium law, started yesterday with most of the bidders being financial houses and “tax buyers.” As the list was called it was found that a large number of people, who had become delinqugnt hi their taxes and whose property had been listed for sale, had paid their taxes and cleared the property, Mr. Wright said. The properties on sale are represented by more than $1,000,000 in taxes.
