BEHIND THE MIKE a a a n a a Einstein and Other Famed Scientists to Be Heard in Broadcast Tonight
BY RALPH NORMAN IJ'OUR of the world's greatest living scientists. Albert Einstein. Irving Langmuir. Robert A. Millikan and Sir William Bragg, are to take part tonight in the dedication of the New York Museum of Sc.rnce and Industry. The program* Is to be broadcast by NBC-WJZ at 9. WIRE is to carry the first hall of the program, and WLW is to broadcast the second half, beginning at 9:30. Speaking with the distinguished scientists on the dedication pro-
gram will be Amelia Earhart, whose message is to be picked up in California. The museum, housed in the RCA building of Radio City, is a permanent exnibition of the great inventions and discoveries of the world, showing not only the latest developments but the processes and preliminary steps by which they came into being. The museum is the only one of its kind in New York, and is one of a few in the world. Opening the radio dedication, John B. Kennedy, commentator, is to describe the museum and its purpose. Other New York speakers are to be Mayor F. H. LaGuardia and Dr. Frank B. Jewett, president of the Bell Telephone Laboratories, and Mr. Einstein, regarded greatest mathematicians of all time. From Pasadena is to come the voice of Dr. Millikan who Is noted for his rcseaioh with cosmic rays. The British authority on the phenomena of light, Dr. Bragg, is to talk from London. At the same hour as the museum dedication, there is to come from the West Coast by

Music BY JAMES THRASHER FEMININE musicians are to have a good share of radio's musical spotlight in the next 24 hours, beginning with the appearance of Bruna Cas'agna as Howard Barlow’s guest on the CBS "Understanding Opera” series broadcast at 5:35 this afternoon. She is to sing examples from operas in which the composer defied tradition by giving the leading feminine role to a contralto, rather than a soprano. Arias are to include “O Mio Fernando" from Donizetti’s "La Favorita," "Una Voce Poco Fa" from "The Barber of Seville” by Rossini, and “Printemps Qui Commence” from Meyerbeer's "Samson ct Dalila.” Mme. Castagna is a pupil of Maria Gay. teacher of Martini and Lily Pons, was discovered by Toscanini and appeared successfully as Carmen with the Philadelphia Opera Cos. and the Cleveland Orchestra. From Europe the performance of Mme. Guilhermina Suggia. cello soloist with the Bournemouth, England, Municipal Orchestra, is to be .shortwaved for rebroadcast over the NBC-WJZ network at 9:15 tomorrow morning. Kelly inadvertently tapped his window screen with a screwdriver. Prima Donna Shows Costumes Winifred Cecil, Show Boat prima dona, acted as hostess at an exhibit of opera costumes at the Grand Central Galleries in New York. The exhibit featured the costumes of the late Marcella Sembrich, who was Miss Cecil's instructor.

Relief Fund. The award was made to the chief in recognition for his distinguished service in solving the Reppin murder case, dramatized recently in the Gang Busters series. “I could not conscientiously accept this award for myself, or any one other person,” declared Harper, “for the entire Colorado Springs police department is equally deserving of credit in breaking the case.”
