BANC AGENT JAILED ON THEFT CHARGE North Side Man Accused of $6500 Embezzlemnt. Fred J. Whicker, 44. of 6114 Car-rollton-av, is in Marion County Jatl today charged with embezzling $6500 from the Fletcher Joint Land Bank. • He surrendered to secret service operatives yesterday and was held for the Federal Grand Jury in SSOOO bail following arraignment before United States Commissioner Fae W. Patrick. Waiving preliminary hearing. he was taken to jail. Until recently he was a supervisor of farms for the bank.
