Plans for entertaining 5000 persons here May 1 and 2 for the Indiana state high tchooi band and orchestra contest are to be made at a meeting of an executive committee Monday night. Hailed as the largest convention ever planned here, the annual musical tournament is to be handled through co-operation of numerous civic, fraternal and educational groups. Committees named to perfect arrangements for the two-day event, and whose chairmen constitute the executive committee, include the following: Housing, Parent-Teacher clubs; registration and assignment, Tri Kappa Sorority; parade. American Legion; decorations, Rotary Club; courtesy cars, Kiwanis Club; band and orchestra placements, Muss Inez Nixon; meals and hotels, Chamber of Commerce; first aid. Miss Jessie Berry; printing, Will G. Ross, and lblicity, Mrs. Merle Hawk and L. ul J. Meifeld.
