Wee Scouty jumped aboard the boat and shouted, “Wheel Away we float. We’re heading for we don’t know where, and neither do we mind. “It’s *un to have a trip like this, and something that I wouldn’t miss. The land of little animals we now have left behind.” Then Duncy said, “I guess I’ll sing a sailing song. My voice will ring. I’ll make up all the words, myself. Oh, it should be a scream. “You all can join in pretty soon, when you have learned to hum the tune. ’Twill help to pass the time while v'e are moving down this stream.” Then came the song: "We’re sailing tots, and we know we’ll have lots and lots of furi before this trip is o’er. Six happy souls are we. “Our little boat will bob around until some fine, new place is found.

AT intervals of 13 to 15 years, the earth lies almost exactly in the plane of Saturn’s rings. At this time, we view the rings edge-on, which makes them most difficult to see, and, for a few hours, they will be Invisible, even through the most powerful telescopes. * * * NEXT —Why is it difficult to keep a plane motor cool when flying up where the temperature is 70 degrees below zro?

I Perhaps the stream will take us out 1 into the deep, blue sea. “Fine work, old sail! Just hold the breeze and take us on and on with ease. However, if the wind gets strong, we’ll lower you real quick.” -Then Duncy stopped. The others smiled. One said, “You are real clever, child. The tune was very pretty and the words were rather slick.” Just then the wind blew stronger and fair Dotty shouted, “Oh, my land! The water’s getting rough, now. I just hope that we don’t tip. “The rapid’s current seems real strong. Back on the shore’s where we belong. I wonder why we ever started out on such a trip.” “Oh, don’t be scared,” said Scouty. “Gee, just leave the steering job to me. Why, I think this is thrilling, and so far we are all right. “The boat may tip and toss around, but, long as we are safe and sound, why sit and worry? Wait until we’re really in a plight.”

Fearfully the two boys watched the indefinable figures approaching through the darkness. “Say, I believe they’re men,” Dick announced. “I can see better now. They are men—probably prisoners, too.” “Just the same, keep your knife handy!” his cousin warned.

Soon they saw that the two forms were black men—one large, one very small. “Keep away!” Doc called, flourishing his knife. “They don’t understand,” said Dick; but then, in barely intelligible pidgin English, one of the blacks announced that he spoke excellent English.

“Gee!” exclaimed Doc with s. sigh of relief, “J could almost kiss him!” With great difficulty the boys began to converse with the big black. "What are they going to do with us?” Dick asked. “Make us fat.” “What for?” Make us fat to eat,” the black explained simply.

“Cannibals!” murmured Dick; “oh, golly, Doc, it’s awful.” “It hasn’t happened yet,” his cousin replied with a grim smile; “and it’s up to us to see that it doesn’t happen. We mustn’t give up, Dick—not until they begin to ask which is preferred, light meat or dark!”
