ADMINISTRATION OF CRIME LAWS WILL BE TOPIC Institute to Meet in April in Fort Wayne to Discuss Problem. Times Fprrin l FORT WAYNE. Ind., Jan. 31 Methods of mor? effective administration of criminal laws will be outlined at a statewide institute on crime here in April. The conference will be sponsored by the Indiana Committee, a nonpartisan citizens’ group organized in 1834. and the Allen County Crime Committee. Objectives of the Indiana Committee include simplification of the criminal code, establishment of the merit system in police departments and prison staffs, reorganization of the existing system of paroles and pardons and research work to advance crime prevention. The committee effected establishment of an "Institute of Criminal Law and Criminology” at Indiana University to aid in its fight against 1 crime.
