SUBSTITUTE AAA PROGRAM NOW WORKING HERE County Agent Says Plan Is Like One Pending Before Congress. Marion County farmers already have put into operation the program of the new agricultural bill now pending in Congress, Horace E. Abbott. county agricultural agent, said today. "We now are waiting for Congress to catch up in legislation,” Mr. Abbott said, ‘‘as our plans already had been made before the AAA was declared unconstitutional.” Activities now are directed by Purdue University and its agricultural experimental station, as provided in the new measure, he said. A group of 25 county farm leaders have selected a committee to co-or-dinate county activities with the national policy. This committee, headed by Albert, Steimeier, has started a two-fold plan calling for a survey of fa- rj conditions as to sub-margi-nal sc and of evolving some method of planned crop production to replace farm agreements under the AAA.
