The hunter shouted, “Well, I’m set. I hope all of the fine beasts get real nicely settled in my wagon. There Is room for all. “Right now they're frightened Just a bit, but they soon will get used to it. The wee giraffe looks very funny, ’cause he is so tall.” Then Goldy said, “Well, mercy me! Wc are as careless as can be. The elephant has been forgotten. He must join the bunch. “I can not see him, anywhere. To leave him here would not be fair. If we look ’round, we’ll find him very soon, I have a hunch.” “Don’t worry,” said the hunter. “He knows of a plan I have, you see. Right now hes roaming through the woods. He’ll come back when I call. “I’m going to have him pull the rest. He’s strongest, so he’ll be the best.” Wee Scouty laughed and said, “Why, say, that plan’s not bad, at all.

“Please call him now. Then we can lend a hand. On us you can depend. We’ll hitch him to the wagon, so he can not get away. “He’ll do the pulling, quite all right, but he will be a funny sight. I only wish that he could stay right here with us and play.” The hunter yelled a funny sound. The beast came forward, with a bound. It didn’t take the Tinies long to fix the reins and such. Said Goldy, “That’s a heavy haul, but I’m sure he won’t mind at all. The elephant’s so strong, I guess it will not seem like much.” Then the old hunter climbed aboard. “Thanks, Tinymites," he loudly roared. “As long as you are ’round here, you can use my little shack. “I’ve left a lot of boards behind. Build what you want. I will not mind. And, now T,n off! And then the Tinies heard his long whip crack.

THE TARZAN TWINS

When the panther rushed at him, Tarzan leaped into a tree, as if he had been released from a catapult. Had he not been anxious to resume his search for the Tarzan Twins, he would have finished the fight with the beast on the ground. But now he resorted to strategy.

. . . Dick and Doc stood anxiously •watching the excited conversation between Intamo and Galla Galla "I’ll bet a dollar to a double-holed doughnut that these guys are up to no good,” Doc whispered. "Old Feather Duster there is pumping the chief lull of very bad ideas.”

—By Edgar Rice Burroughs

Doc was right. Galla Galla was smiling now with fiendish glee and nodding approval. "Wise Intamo! When Tarzan dies, according to your plan, we shall have a great feast of celebration." The cannibal chief smacked his lips. "These young ones should be very tender.”
