BETTER TIMES DUE, MILK MEH AGREE Price Increases Are Hailed by Distributors. The Indianapolis Milk Council, an association of milk distributors, today believed that 1936 will be an era of better conditions for both producers and distributors in this area. Members voiced this conclusion at a meeting last night in the Lincoln. t Winfield Hunt, executive secretary, said that the 11-cent quart retail price, which becomes effective Sunday, will end losses to distributors since the State Milk Control Board granted an increase to producers Dec. 16. The new price schedules also wall enable farmers, who had threatened to sell their dairy cattle for meat, to continue producing milk and maintain a sufficient supply, Mr. Hunt said. L ; eut. Gov. M. Clifford Townsend outlined functions and aims of the State Milk Board, of which he is chairman.
