The Tlnymites were tickled pink. Baid little Dotty, ‘‘Oh, to think that we now have a present from ol‘ Santa, it's just great!” ‘‘You bet! I wonder what’s inside,” one of the other Tinies cried. Let's hurry up and find out, tots, ’cause I can hardly wait. "Now, how are we to open it?” "Don’t let that bother you one bit,” said Santa. ‘‘l will call Jack Frost. He will remove the top. ‘‘He’s clever at such work, somehow. Look yonder! He is coming, now. He'll sail right in and, till the task is done, he will not stop.” Then Jack Frost shouted, "One side please, i’ll open that gift with ease.” The Tinies watched his hammer fly. Said Scouty, “I’ll help Khie.” "Oh. no,” snapped Jack. "This is my task. Just stand aside, is all I ask. Why, if you swung my hammer, I an:, sure you'd smash your thumb.”

And so they waited patiently while Jack Frost worked away. Said he, "At last the final nail is out. Get ready for your treat.” The top then was pushed to the ground and, as the Tinies gathered ’round, fair Goldy shouted, "It looks like a submarine, How neat!” “Oh, no! It is a rocket ship,” said Santa, "ready for a trip. Right now it looks quite small, but take it out and it will grow.” The Tinies quicklv grabbed a-hold and gladly did as they were told. The ship began to swell, and Santa cried, “I told you so! "When it is twice its present size, you Tinymites will realize that it will hold you all. It really is a wondrous thing. "You’ll wonder, now, what makes it go. Glance at the rear, and you will know.” Os course the Tinies did, and there they saw a monstrous spring.

THE TARZAN TWINS
Dick and Doc were startled by a sudden grinding of brakes. The car ih which they rode seemed to leap into the air. It lurched, and bumped and rocked, throwing both boys to the floor. They were sure it was going to overturn and roll into the dark jungle! . . .

. . . Meanwhile, in the wilderness Tarzan was standing before the palisaded village of the cannibals. "Open your gates,” he repeated. And within, Galla Galla, the chieftain, trembled, for he had not thought it possible for any man to follow the dim trail of the skillful raiders.

“What shall we do? He will punish us,” quavered the chief, turning to Intamo, the witchdoctor. “We shall do nothing,” Intamo declared. “Our palisade is strong and high. Besides, I have made uagic, so that no attackers can break down or scale it. We are safe.”
—By Edgar Rice Burroughs
Assured by Intamo, the chief called out: "We will not open our gates!” The ape-man made no reply. Instead he spoke sharply to Muviro. “We attack!” Then the Mighty Fighter and his Waziri streamed to the palisade, expecting to be greeted by a shower of spears and arrows!
