How’d you like to find so precious a gift as this in your Christmas stocking? Yes, it’s Marie, with Nurse Leroux.

Marie is a critical listener as Dr. Dafoe introduces music to the Dionne nursery via a Christmas saxophone. Somehow we get the idea that as a saxophonist the doctor is an excellent physician.

Here, here, Emilie, this won't do! We all like Christmas turkey, but knives and forks are something you’ll have to learn to use! Don’t worry, Emilie was headed off before she got very far with this informal attack on Mr. Turkey.

Mirroring the breathless delight that shines in the faces of millions of other little girls at this season of the year, Cecile’s little face lights up at sight of a set of quintuplet dolls being shown to her by Nurse Lamoreux. Christmas has been a season of wonderment at the Dionne nursery, and to make it more fun, that’s Dr. Dafoe playing Santa Claus, and you can see that he’s enjoying the proceedings almost as much as the famous little sisters themselves.

Santa Claus made his visit to the Dionne quintuplets early this year, and here they are at his feet laughing gaily and crawling on the floor among the advance wave of presents. The decorated tree, the lavish presents, and the filled stockings along the fireplace are enough to bring an equal amount of joy to any child.

It’s a very big turkey for five very little girls, but the Dionne quintuplets don’t seem in the least dismayed. Cecile, left, is somewhat meditative, but Emilie sniffs at the gobbler with evident anticipation. Yvonne laughs in sheer joy at the end of the table, while Annette and Marie view the task somewhat more seriously. You may be sure Dr. Dafoe didn’t let them have much of the turkey or the festive cake, but you see that they enjoyed their presents anyway.

Emilie’s laughter rings out merrily when Dr. Dafoe as Santa Claus lifts her high to se e the lights, decorated tree, and all the Christmas fun. Every waking minute has brought its thrills to the nursery of the five little Dionnes as one Chrismas surprise followed another. And the doctor’s own broad grin is the best proof of his equal enjoyment.

Yvonne grasps the drumsticks in a firm grip and prepares to contribute her share of the Christmas music in the Dionne nursery. And she’s plainly looking to Dr. (Santa) Dafoe for help.

Eating her Christmas cake, Emilie puts in her thumb, but pulls out a good chunk of frosting instead of the plum that rewarded Jack Horner. Nevertheless she’s getting her fun out of this cake sent by an admirer.
