Miss Patsy Boggs is secretary and Paul H. Krauss 111 is chairman. Permanent organization officers are to be chosen Jan. 2. John Masters, son of Dr. and Mrs. Robert J. Masters, is secretary of Corpse Club, to entertain with a dance Thursday at Woodstock Club. Misses Ann Richwine and Maryan Winterrowd are Children of the American Revolution members and are on the committee for their New Year dance at the Caroline Scott Harrison chapter house. Misses Mary Scitt Morse, Judith Freston and Natalie Pfaff are Sub Deb officers and have be<m leaders in arranging the scavenger hunt for Sunday, Dec. 29. Tne hunt is to start from Miss Preston's home and is to end at Margaret Wohlgemuth's residence. Miss Lue McWhirter, Miss Ruth Coler and Scott Olive are Merrymakers. who are to welcome the New Year at a dance Thursday. Dec. 31, in the Woman's Department Club. Misses Margaret Driscoll, Anne Holmes and Peggy Burrell are assisting the Indac Jrs. in arranging its holiday program. A dance is to be held for them Monday night at the club.
Dorothy Payne Becomes Bride of Boonville Man in Ceremony
Marriage vows were exchanged today at the First Baptist Church by Miss Dorothy Louise Payne, daughter of the Rev. Robert L. Payne, and Starlin Ryan, son of Frank Ryan, Boonville. Dr. O. R. McKay officiated at the ceremony, read before an altar banked with palms and ferns and lighted by tapers burning in sevenbranch candelebra. Dr. Carleton W. Atwater assisted. Franklin Ryan. Boonville. was his brother's best man and Robert L. Payne Jr.. J. B. Kitzmiller. Edwin Holdcroft. Rush F. Hall and Cecil McDole were ushers. Preceding the ceremony, Miss Mary Frances Thomas, organist., played • Because,” “At Dawning" and the "Bridal Chorus” from "Lohengrin” by agner. Hugh M. Mason sang "O Promise Me" and "Beloved, It Is Morn.” The ceremony was read as Miss Thomas played "I Love You Truly.” The bride entered with her father. Her gown was of white transparent velvet fashioned on princess lines with hip-length jacket.
Her veil of illusion tell from a cap j of silver lace and her flowers were Talisman roses. Mrs. J. B. Kitzmiller, matron of honor wore lilac velvet with a gold j lace cap and gold accessories and carried Johanna Hill roses. Fla., Dec. 21.—Indiana residents vacationing here have been taking part in a whirl of social events and have attended a variety of entertainments at the Annie Russell Theater and Rollins College. The cantata, "The Wondrous Story,” is to be presented by the combined choruses of Schools 43 and 54 and of the Seventh District Federation of Clubs. Miss Elsa MacGregor, head of the organ department at Indiana Central College, is in New York, where she is to spend the Christmas holidays with Mrs. W. Warren Brackett.
