SENIOR BOOSTER RIOS NAMED BY MANUALCLASS Ellen Caplin, Senior Editor, Sets Jan. 15 as Date of Issue. Editorial and business staffs have been named for the Senior Booster at Manual Training High School. Ellen Caplin was chosen editor-in-chief by the January seniors. Miss Caplin said the publication will be issued about Jan. 15 and that the assistant editor will be Robert Tall. The art editor is to be Roscoe Miller, assisted by Norma Louise Schmidt and Alma Foster. Wilbur Elliott is to be in charge of personals. Others in this section are to be Deloris Bailey, Robert Specker, Rosemary Hanna, Mary Dunlop, Rose Fine? old, Theresa Matlock, Harold Yeagy. Verne Jacobs, Jack Calderon and Louise Presutti. Rosemary Hanna is to review the class play recently presented. Okie Hightower is to write on Ivy Day and Mildred Walther is to write on Class Day.Richard Gallamore is to be in charge of sports news. David Cohn, Jokes, and Robert Hall, class history. Typists are to be Okie Hightower and Glodine Stringer. Russell Burger, business manager, is to be assisted by Bookkeepers Mildred Summerville, Jack Tice, Georgia Dunlop and Gladys Brown. David Cohn is to have charge of sales. 100 NATIONAL GUARD PLANES TO MANEUVER Converge on Miami Dec. 12 for Air Meeting. Time* Special MIAMI, Fla., Dec. 10.—By order of General George E. Leach, National Guard Bureau chief, 100 planes from the National Guard air force are to be added to those from the G. H. Q. force converging on Miami for the All-America Air Maneuvers, Dec. 12 to 14. The lilth Observation Squadron quartered at Mars Hill, Indianapolis, under command of Major Oliver Stout, will be the Indiana contingent at the meet. ~r: addition to air races and maneuvers by army planes, Major A1 Williams, noted acrobatic and speed flier, is to give daily exhibitions of stunt flying. MOTHERS WILL MEET Brightwood Club to Have Yule Program and Luncheon. Brightwood Mothers’ Club of the Indianapolis Free Kindergarten is to meet at 2 Thursday for a covered dish luncheon and Christmas program. Mrs. Edith Laßue is to give a Christmas reading, and the School 51 Mothers’ Chorus is to sing.

Salary of $8917 for two years, paid to Mrs. Martin L. Davey, above, wife of Ohio’s Governor, was excessive, the government contends in its income tax suit against the Davey Tree Expert Cos., of Kent, 0., for collection of $2157. Deduction for this sum was disallowed and Mrs. Davey has been called to testify in the Dec. 12 hearing. She is a vice president of the company.
LABOR BOARD RULES ON ELIGIBLE VOTERS Only Production and Maintenance Workers May Take Part. Time* Special FORT WAYNE, Ind., Dec. 10.— Only production and maintenance workers in the Wayne Knitting Mills, Inc., are eligible to vote in collective bargaining elections this week, the National Labor Relations Board ruled today. The board held that supervisors, office workers, salesmen, clerks and professional workers were ineligible. The vote is to determine what organization shall be the collective bargaining unit in the plant. The American Federation of Hosiery Workers claims a majority of maintenance and production workers. Judge Collins to Speak James A.
