Wee Duncy shouted, “Sure I’ll smile, and I will stay here for a while. I pur?.-, you are a friendly sort, so I feel welcome here. I'm just a Tinymite you .see, as full of pep as I can be. There are a lot of other Tinymitcs roaming somewhere near. "This big grasshopper took me for a ride, fire, you should see him soar up through the air with every leap i finally wore him out. "Then I lugged him across the ground until this pleasant spot was found. Imagine how surprised we w re. when first we heard you shout.” “Perhaps. I scared you. That was mean, but when you walked in on the scene, I. too. was quite a bit surprised.” the little elf replied. "Where are the other Tinies, now? Plea-o try and get, them here, somehow." “I wish I could, but I am lost from them,” wee Duncy

THE narwhal whale is equally as curious a creature as the mythical unicorn. Seldom does more than one tusk develop. This tusk, usually the left one. reaches the enormous length of 10 feet. It projects straight from the upper jaw, and is used in fighting. NEXT—IIow many earths, the sire of our own, eould be made from the planet Jupiter?

"What, lost? Well, don't you worry, son,” the elf snapped. "It will be real fun to fix you up a carriage, in which you can search around. "Although the going may be rough, I'm sun , if you search far enough, your worries will be over, ’cause the Tinies will be found. “Now, first of all, the carriage will be brought forth, and you'll get a thrill.” The wee elf clapped his hands and very soon exclaimed, "Look there!” Then Duncy shouted, in delight, An acorn carriage. What a sight! An ant is hitched up to the front of it, I do declare.” "All right, hop in. The thing is strong. Take your grasshopper friend along,” the elf said. "Then 1 11 say goodby, 'cause here I’ll have to stay.” Wee Duncy did as he was told, and of the reins he grabbed a hold. In just about a moment, he was on his merry way.

TARZAN AND THE FIRE CODS
As soon as he had recovered sufficiently from his exhausting flight, Nazir described the battle in which his company had been slain by Tarzan's strange cohorts. “There must have been two hundred against my twenty.” he lied. "They fought not like men, but demons!”

As he listened to the Arab's recital, a slow, brutal grin spread over the bearded face of Boris Garetto. Gradually a plan began to take shape in his crafty mind—a scheme that was designed to wipe Tarzan and his allies from the face of the earth!

When Tarzan saw that the exit from the crater was blocked by Garetto. he went back into the forest and lowered Arbela and Tommy from the tree in which he had hidden them. Together they trekked back to the Canaanite encampment. Tarzan was hailed with shouts.

"Hail to Iskander, the conqueror!” the peopla cried. But the ape-man was not happy. True, tha warriors under his command had defeated tha brigands in the first skirmish. The war, however, had only begun, and he knew that Boris Garetto still had the upper hand!
