Booth, special lecturer of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, said: “Such nations intent upon the fulfillment of what they call their high destinies refuse to bow before any law opposing their archaic notion of sovereignty to the world community just as they oppose absolutism to the individual citizens.” Irritating Sources While these nations exist there shall be continuous and irritating sources of economic and political hostility, Maj. Filing came within a few' hours after Circuit Judge Earl R. Cox had j dismissed an appeal by Decatur on I the commissioners’ action. Judge Cox ruled this action was not prepi erly before the court. Began Several Years Ago The controversy began several years ago whan the commissioners placed wdthin Perry Township the Indianapolis Power & Light Cos. station, thus removing about $4,000.000 of taxable property from the Decatur duplicates. Injunction is sought to restrain ’ the commissioners from putting this
! property, or any other affected, on | the Perry tax duplicates. Prior to the time the course of White River was changed, the light ! company property definitely was in Decatur Township. Afterward. : the plant showed up on the other ; side of the river. The commissioners ruled the plant had "migrated” into the adjoining township and fixed j the boundary lines to conform.
