MISS EARHART ATTRACTION AT AVIATION MEET Purdue Draws Leading Air Technicians of U. S. for Conference. 7 trtt' a Special LAFAYETTE, Ind., Nov. 14 With Amelia Earhart as the chief attraction, Indiana aviation enthusiasts met at Purdue University today for an educational conference on aeronautics. The program opened at 10 a. m. with an address by Col. Frederick L Martin, commandant at Wright Field. Dayton, O. Col. Martin was in charge of the United States Army’s first round-the-world flight and was to outline aviations progress during the last 20 years. A discussion of elementary aviation, led by Lieut. Mark Gant, Indiana National Guard flier, was to follow. Miss Earhart was to make her first, appearance at a noon luncheon, peaking on the subject of "Problems in Flight." The remainder of the day was to be devoted to talks by W. E. Savage, Wright Field official; R. W. Wilkin, fuel expert, and Capt. George Goddard, Chanute Field. The conference will be resumed tomorow with discussions led by C. V. Johnson, South Bend, chassis specialist, D M. Warner, Wright Field material testing engineer; Maj. P. P. Hill, instrument expert; Capt H. H. Couch and F. T. McCurdy, Kokomo. A concluding dinner, presided over by Dean A. A.
