Admitting the idealism of retirement benefits, Edward J. Green of the Mcßeady Pension Engineers, Inc., declared there are many dan--1 gers in the Social Security Act. He ; charged that the old-age annuity plan is inequitable to higher salaried employes and younger people. He also questioned concentration : of the retirement fund in Washington. More than 400 executives attended. HIGH COURT UPHOLDS TRANSCRIPT RULING Supreme Judges Contend Pappas Had Not Shown Merits of Case. The Indiana Supreme Court has upheld Criminal Judge Frank P. Baker in his refusal to provide a transcript of evidence in the Vasil Pappas murder trial on Pappas' contention that he is a pauper. Pappas, found guilty, appealed to ; the Supreme Court. Judge Baker | ordered the transcript prepared when and if the County Council made an appropriation, there being no money available. Pappas obtained a Supreme Court temporary writ against Judge Baker. The high court dissolved this writ, holding Pappas had not shown the merits of his appeal should be con- | sidered if the transcript were avail- ' able.
