DEAN COULTER TO HEAD 1935 SEAL CAMPAIGN Educator Is Made Chairman of Anti-Tuberculosis Drive in State. Dr. Stanley Coulter. Purdue University dean emeritus, has been appointed state chairman of the 1935 Christmas Seal campaign, Dr. Paul D. Crimm, Indiana Tuberculosis Association president, announced today. This marks the tenth consecutive year of Dr. Coulter's service as leader of the state campaign. The goal for 1935 is $150,000. Dr. Coulter said. "No task is more pleasing to me than the chairmanship of the state sale. During the past 20 years Indiana's death rate has been reduced 62 per cent, yet last year 1800 persons died from tuberculosis and it is estimated that 16 000 Hoosiers now are suffering from the disease,” he said. Dr. Coulter was made dean emeritus at Purdue following his resignation several years ago from the post of dean of men. He was one of the founders of the Tippecanoe County Tuberculosis Association and a. former president of the Indiana association. He is now on honorary vice president of the state organization.
