rarass FOR MARY DEAN TO 6E TOMORROW Shortridge High Pupil Dies at Home After Long Illness. Funeral of Miss Mary Annette Dean, 224*5 N. Alahama-st, who died last night at her home following a long illness, is to be held at 2 Friday in the McNecly and Sons Funeral Home, 1828 N. M°ridian-st. Burial Is to be in Crown Hill. Miss Dean, who was 22, had lived in Indianapolis all her life, and attended Shortridge High School. She was a member of the Broadway M. E. Church and the Cadle Tabernacle Choir. Surviving are her father. Walter F. Dean, a sister, Mrs. Richard R. Keeney, and her grandmother, Mrs. A. V. Mlchener, all of Indianapolis. Daniel Casey Dies Requiem mass for Daniel Casey, 1810 Talman-av, who was found dead in his bed yesterday, is to be offered at 9 tomorrow in St. Francis rie Sales Roman Catholic Church. The body is to be taken to Greensburg for burial. Mr. Casey was 73. Surviving is a niece, Mrs. Stella Schmlnk, Indianapolis. Leavitt Rites Friday Funeral services for Robert A. Leavitt, 1505 College-av, who died yesterday are to be held at 10 Friday in the Russell Abdon Funeral Home, 1807 N. Illinois-st. The body is to be taken to Jackson Cemetery, near Tipton, for burial. Mr. Leavitt, who was 64, is survived my his widow, Mrs. Alice Leavitt; a son, John B. I,eavitt, and three daughters, Mrs. Mildred Garrison, Mrs. Lenna Lewis and Mrs. Mary Davison, all of Indianapolis. Arrange McDonald Mass Requiem mass for William M McDonald, 610 Vine-st, who died yesterday at his home, is to be offered at 9 tomorrow in St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church. Burial is to be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Mr. McDonald was 77. He was a well driller in Indianapolis 35 years, and had been retired about 20 years! A son, William McDonald Jr. survives.

INDIANA TEACHERS OPEN CONFERENCE Pre-Convention Meeting Starts at Lincoln. The County Superintendents’ Association, a department of the Indiana State Teachers’ Association, opened its pre-convention meeting today in the Travertine Room of the Lincoln with Dr. Jesse Adams, University of Kentucky, as the principal speaker.
